Privacy Policy
What we collect when you book, who else touches it, and how to have it removed.
Last updated 20 August 2026. Sol Vista Retreats operates this site and rents one condo, Sol Vista del Mar, in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
What we collect, and only when you book
To make a reservation we ask for your name, email address, a phone number, your dates and the number of guests. That is the whole list. We use it to confirm your stay, to send arrival instructions, and to reach you while you are here.
Who else handles it
- Stripe processes the payment. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s own form and is never sent to us or stored on this site. We see only the last four digits and whether the charge succeeded.
- Hospitable is our reservation system. Your booking details go there so the stay appears on our calendar and our messages reach you.
- Truvi handles guest verification after you book, and contacts you directly by email or text. Whatever identity documents you give Truvi stay with Truvi. We receive a pass or fail, not your documents.
- Hostinger hosts this site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the four above.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move around this site, and Meta (Facebook) measurement to see whether our ads bring anyone here. Both are set up to report in aggregate. They tell us that a certain number of people looked at the condo page from a certain country on a certain day. They do not tell us who you are, and we never connect them to your booking or send your name, email or phone number to either company.
Neither is used to build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share advertising data. If you would rather not be counted at all, both are blocked by the tracking protection built into most browsers, and by Google’s own opt-out add-on.
Cookies
Two kinds. The ones the site needs to work, which remember your booking while you are filling it in and help pages load quickly. And the analytics cookies described above, set by Google and Meta. There are no other advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Inquiries that never became a booking are deleted once the conversation is clearly over. Analytics data expires on the providers’ own schedules.
Your choices
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it, with the exception of records we are legally required to retain. One email is enough and there is no form to fill in.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Children are very welcome to stay; the booking is made by the adult.
